There are over 55 million pet-keeping households in Europe. Not only are pets often « one more in the family », but they also support the daily activities of humans: dogs are trained to help people with physical disabilities in everyday tasks, horses help relieve mental and physical disabilities, petting a cat is proven to reduce stress levels.
