Roxane Feller is New Managing Director IFAH-Europe

Brussels, 12 February 2023

Roxane Feller has been appointed as the International Federation for Animal Health Europe’s (IFAH-Europe) new Managing Director. The animal health industry in Europe is a resilient, innovative sector with strong investments in Europe: IFAH-Europe’s member companies invest over €400 million in research and development each year. The sector employs some 50,000 people in Europe and in 2014, Europe sales amounted to 31% of the worldwide total.

“I am very much looking forward to working at IFAH-Europe and looking to continue to position the organisation as a lasting, strong advocate for the animal health industry in Europe. IFAH-Europe has an important role to play, especially within the context of the political landscape in Europe and in view of the ongoing legislative processes. I’m excited about continuing to build a strategic vision for the federation in Europe”, said Ms Feller. She will take up her new position on Tuesday 24 February 2015.

Before joining IFAH-Europe, Ms Feller was Director of the Economic Department in FoodDrinkEurope, an umbrella organisation which, as the name suggests, represents the food and drink manufacturing industry in Europe. The department coordinates the work related to the Commission’s “High Level Forum for a better functioning Food Supply Chain” and inputs into those EU policies that impact the competitiveness of the industry such as those related to the supply of agricultural raw materials, trade and relations in the food chain.

Prior to this position, she worked for 14 years at Copa-Cogeca, the European farmers and agri-cooperatives, on all food and feed safety-related issues, which included animal health and welfare.

She started her career in the area of EU political advocacy in Brussels in 1992 for the European sugar industry, where she was in charge of social affairs.

Roxane Feller studied in the United States and in Switzerland, is a lawyer by training and speaks French and English, with an excellent knowledge of German, Spanish and Dutch.
